Alyssa J. David is a Guide Dog Instructor at Guiding Eyes for the Blind and has been professionally training dogs since 2005. Alyssa joined Guiding Eyes for the Blind in 2010, where she completed a three year apprenticeship in the training of guide dogs. She is responsible for training guide dogs and placing them with visually impaired clients. While at Guiding Eyes, Alyssa also worked in the Specialized Training Department, training guide dogs for visually impaired individuals who had additional disabilities.

Alyssa is a graduate of the University of Maryland where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which gave her a solid foundation for understanding how animals learn.
